Paper Heart Crafts

If you are looking for a simple but beautiful Valentine’s Day craft, try making these hearts. They look great hung up on a wall or added to a gift. All you need is a few paper strips and some glue!

These are also a great project for kids! They can write their names on them and decorate them with a little paint. This is a great activity to do as a class or with a group of friends!

Origami Valentine Hearts

This paper craft is easy for anyone to do, and it is a wonderful gift for children of all ages. To make these paper hearts, you will need a 12″ strip of paper and scissors. You can use scrapbooking paper, but we recommend using white card stock for this project because it’s easier to cut out.

To fold the heart, first cut a strip of paper that is 1″ wide by 12 inches long. You may want to use patterned paper for this project, and you can make multiple hearts from each strip of paper. Next, fold the strip in half so that it is the same length on both sides. Then, draw half of a heart along the folded edge, leaving about 1/2″ to 3/4″ space on the right side of the paper.

Once you’ve drawn the heart outline, place your strip of paper on top of a piece of cardboard or another piece of paper. This will help you to keep it from shifting. You can also use a template if you’d like to trace the shape of the heart.

You can tape the heart to a piece of paper or use a string and tie it in a loop. You can even add a strand of pink yarn to the center of the heart to create a “pop-up” effect.

For a more intricate look, you can also cut several different sizes of hearts from one strip of paper. You can also add glitter or markers to the hearts before gluing them together.

Homemade Valentine Cards are always the best way to tell someone you care! This heart-shaped card has googly eyes and conversation heart sayings that are sure to put a smile on your loved one’s face.

The template makes this project super easy for you and your child. All you need is some cardstock and a few simple supplies to create this Valentine’s Day card.

Alternatively, you can print out the templates on white cardstock and have your child color them with crayons or colored pencils. Then, they can write their name and the things they love on each heart.
